APWWS urges action, safety measures in wake of shocking rape case in Lower Dibang Valley district
The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) has expressed deep concern and alarm following a distressing report of the rape of a woman with special needs in the Lower Dibang Valley district.
The society has also called for more effective measures to ensure the safety of women and children in the state.
Maling emphasized that victims and their families often face mistreatment when dealing with investigating officers at police stations and requested all police officers in the state to handle sensitive cases involving women and children impartially and without prejudice.
